Stylists

NEW! The cost of your headshot or modeling portfolio shoot now
includes the cost of basic hair & makeup styling. For high fashion or
special requests there could be additional charges. The stylists that we
work with are prepared with full makeup kits for most skin tones, but it
is still highly recommended that you bring your own makeup kit to the
shoot anyway, along with hair accessories. Come to the shoot with a clean face and your hair styled the way you normally have it. Guys should
come clean shaven--or if you'd like to have some shots with facial hair and
some without, bring your razor and shaving kit with you to the shoot.
                                                                                                            Wardrobe

Our goal at Braedy Photography is to shoot actor’s headshots and model portfolio shots that will help get you signed with an agency or get you work.  Here are some wardrobe suggestions:

CHILDREN

*One nice play outfit (jeans with a simple pullover or tshirt), babies can wear a onsie

*One nicer outfit you may wear to school or church—khakis or slacks,

nicer button down shirt, cardigan sweater, etc.

*A sports look—baseball or cheerleader uniform, karate uniform, etc.

*Fantasy look—princess dress, tuxedo, fireman’s outfit, etc.

WOMEN
*Khakis and button down shirt or polo

*Jeans with casual pullover top or sweater set

*A business look—if you are mid-twenties or older a skirt or pant suit, if you are early twenties or younger wear nice business slacks with a blouse

*A dress—junior girls can wear pleated or jean shirt with a colored top,

late teens through mid twenties girls can wear a sundress or a simple

dress, mid twenties or older can wear a simple cocktail-type dress, etc.

*Fitness/lingere—please only wear if you’re in shape and comfortable shooting in either of these. In general, teen girls should wear a two piece bikini, girls in their twenties should wear a simple matching

full coverage bra and panty set (bikini briefs or boy-shorts), and women above the age of thirty should wear a sports bra with either biker shorts

or dance pants.

*Women in their thirties and older could also wear a very upscale casual outfit (a Dillard’s type look), teen/early twenties girls could wear an “Abercrombie” look (fitted trendy jeans with a form fitting tshirt or

trendy top).

MEN
*Khakis and a button down shirt or polo

*Jeans or slacks with a casual pullover top
*a “blue collar” look—jeans with a denim or plaid button down or work shirt

*A business look—men in their twenties and above can wear slacks with a open collared button down shirt (no tie) and blazer or a suit, teens can

wear nice slacks with a button down shirt

*Fitness/workout—men between the ages of 18 and 40 who are in great shape can wear plain boxer briefs or form fitting boxers; teens and men above 40, or men who are athletic but not in excellent

shape should wear sports shorts with a form fitting tshirt or tank
top.

*Young men in their late teens through early twenties can wear an “Abercrombie” look with fitted jeans and a form fitting tshirt or ring top tshirt.

*Most men typically look better clean-shaven for their photo

shoot. If you are an adult “leading man” or “character” type that often wears a beard, we suggest coming to your shoot with your normal facial hair; we can shoot some shots with a beard, then have you shave and be clean-shaven for the rest of the photo shoot.

Again, these are general suggestions and you should always wear clothes that you are comfortable in. Please make sure all clothes fit well and are cleaned and pressed prior to your shoot. In general, try to avoid wearing white or black tops—bright solid colors or very simple patterns tend to work best. Remember, this shoot it to highlight YOU, not your clothing. You should bring about 4-5 choices for each different outfit (for example,

if you are being shot in three different looks you would have a total of

12-15 different outfits), and we can help you choose which one will work best at the time of the shoot.
